AUDRIEANNA BURGIN, Ph.D., AS ITS NEW CEO

904WARD is proud to welcome Dr. Audrieanna Burgin, Ph.D., as its new CEO, ushering in a new era of visionary leadership, strategic innovation, and deep commitment to equity.

A Jacksonville native, Dr. Burgin has spent her career advancing economic mobility, equity-driven education initiatives, and racial justice, making her the perfect leader to lead 904WARD’s mission into the future.​​​​
Dr. Burgin’s expertise in economics and social impact is unparalleled. She has served as a Senior Research Scientist at WGU Labs, leading economic mobility research to drive innovation in education. As the founding director of the University of North Florida’s Diversity in Business program, she built a community of support for students of color, securing a $700,000 donation from CSX to launch the initiative.

​Her influence in Jacksonville is undeniable. She was named a Top 40 Under 40 honoree by the Jacksonville Business Journal, selected as a Hightower Fellow by the Jax Chamber, and appointed to Mayor Donna Deegan’s African American Advisory Council. She also serves on the boards of Ascension St. Vincent’s Foundation, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, and Becoming Collegiate Academy, Florida’s first HBCU-inspired charter school.

With her proven track record in research, advocacy, and leadership, Dr. Burgin is poised to expand 904WARD’s impact, strengthen partnerships, and drive transformative change in Jacksonville and beyond. Her leadership will ensure that 904WARD continues to create racial healing and equity through deep conversations and learning, trusting relationships, and collective action.​
